They're stripped!

If you didn't know already, now you know.  The secret is out, they are stripped. Devoid of their power. Rendered impotent. Powerless when up against the power of Jehovah Dunamis.

Christ stripped the spiritual rulers and authorities of their power.

When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh (worldliness, manner of life), God made you alive together with Christ, having [freely] forgiven us all our sins, having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of legal demands [which were in force] against us and which were hostile to us. And this certificate He has set aside and completely removed by nailing it to the cross.

When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities [those supernatural forces of evil operating against us], He made a public example of them [exhibiting them as captives in His triumphal procession], having triumphed over them through the cross.
COL 2:13‭-‬15 AMP

The word disarmed or as the KJV says spoiled, is from the Greek word
apekduomai which means to wholly put off from one's self, to strip off, despoil, disarm. This word in turn has the root from the word ekduō which means to take off, to strip one of his garments, to take off from one's self, to put off the one's raiments, - strip, unclothe.

Remember I told you previously that you have already been clothed, endued with the power from on high and you wear that power, which is Christ Himself, as a garment.

Well, Scripture informs us that our enemies, those principalities and powers, those rulers of darkness, those spiritual wickedness in the heavenlies have been stripped of their power. Hallelujah!

Christ spoiled them, disarmed them, stripped them of their power on the Cross. Praise God. He told His disciples and is telling us that He has given us power over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt us.

The seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.” He said to them, “I watched Satan fall from heaven like [a flash of] lightning.  Listen carefully: I have given you authority [that you now possess] to tread on serpents and scorpions, and [the ability to exercise authority] over all the power of the enemy (Satan); and nothing will [in any way] harm you.  Nevertheless do not rejoice at this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven.”
LUK 10:17‭-‬20 AMP

Know this then, that your enemy is already defeated! Already stripped of his power. Rendered powerless. It is for you to exercise power, authority over the power of the enemy, over that sickness, over that oppression.

What enemy is affecting, or afflicting you today? Tell them that they are powerless. They have no power, no control, no influence over you. Christ has dealt with them on the cross. Tell them to loose any hold they have over you and walk free, victorious, in Jesus name.

Endued with POWER from on high

And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
Luke 24:49 KJV

To be endued means:

1. to put to invest or endow with some gift, quality, or faculty.
2. to put on; assume.
3. to clothe.

Listen carefully: I am sending the Promise of My Father [the Holy Spirit] upon you; but you are to remain in the city [of Jerusalem] until you are clothed (fully equipped) with power from on high.”
LUK 24:49 AMP

On the day of Pentecost that promise was released and the power came from on high. The Bible also tells us that as many that have been baptised into Christ have put on Christ or have been clothed with Christ. Hallelujah. Have you been baptised into Christ then you are "clothed" with the dunamis power from on high.

But are you walking in this power? How are you exercising this power on a daily basis in dealing with situations that confront you?

Christ has gone into the heavens and all powers are subject unto Him. At the mention of the Name of Jesus, EVERY KNEE, EVERY SITUATION, EVERY SICKNESS, DISEASE and OPPRESSION must bow!

Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.
1 Peter 3:22 KJV

If they are subject unto Him and you are in Him, He dwells in you by His Holy Spirit, you are "wearing" Him as your garment of righteousness, then it means that angels, authorities and powers are also subject to you.

Exercise that power today. Raise your voice like a trumpet and unleash the power of God into your situation  through prayer, praise, the Word and the Blood!

More on altars - 2

An altar also represented a person’s desire to consecrate himself fully to the Lord. God had worked in a person’s life in such a way that the person desired to create something tangible to memorialize it.

Every human heart has an invisible altar where the war between the flesh and the spirit rages. When we surrender areas of our lives to the control of the Holy Spirit, we are in effect laying that area on the altar before God.

The Lord said that the fire upon the altar should be perpetually burning, and was never to be put out (Lev. 6:13); and from that fire was taken the fire for the incense, and from no other source (Lev. 10:1-6);

It is my responsibility to build an altar to the Lord in my heart, maintain it, and visit it frequently. I take my sin, sorrow, faults, and failings to God at this altar and offer them as I would a burnt offering, letting God’s fire consume them and reprove me. I take my confidences, joys, and praise as peace offerings, willingly sharing them with my Master and continually submitting them to Him. I call on the Lord at my altar, discussing my requests and desires with Him, and seeking His face concerning them.

Finally, it is at the altar where God answers from Heaven by fire. Since my body is the temple, I can never leave my altar. As I maintain "altar-consciousness" and listen for God’s voice, I will hear Him speak through His Word, through other Christian brothers and sisters.

For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people."
2 Corinthians 6:16(NIV)

You also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
1 Peter 2:5 (NIV)

I encourage you today to become altar-conscious. Build your heart’s altar to the Lord by making a determination to spend daily time with Him. You may have to repair your neglected altar.
Once that altar is built and maintained then the power of God, Christ Himself will begin to work in you and through you. Remember it says that fire shall be burned continually on the altar, along with the incense. We know that the fire represent the dunamis, dynamite of God, by the power of the Holy Spirit. The incense represents the prayer of the saints.

How brightly is the fire burning on the altar of your heart? Does it need to be fanned, to be rekindled? He makes his angles spirits and his ministers a flame of fire. How much are you on fire for God? He said He will baptise you with the Holy Ghost and with fire!

More on altars

Altars were structures on which offerings are made to a deity. The Hebrew word for altar is mizbeah [;eBzim], from a verbal root meaning "to slaughter." Greek renders this word as thusiasterion [qusiasthvrion], "a place of sacrifice."

It was to have four horn-like projections, one at each corner. It had to be large enough to hold sacrifices of bulls, sheep, and goats. For the temple that Solomon built, the altar was made of pure gold (1 Kings 7:48)

Altars were places where the divine and human worlds interacted. Altars were places of exchange, communication, and influence. God responded actively to altar activity. The contest between Elijah and the prophets of Baal involving an altar demonstrated interaction between Yahweh and Baal. Noah built an altar and offered a sacrifice to Yahweh. God smelled the aroma and found it pleasing. He responded to Noah's action by declaring that he would never again destroy all living things through a flood.

Altars are:

A place of encounter – The Lord met Jacob in a crisis and the next day he built an altar at that place (Genesis 28).

A place of forgiveness
– The brazen altar of the tabernacle sacrifice was offered as an advance testimony that there would be a once-for-all sacrifice in God’s Son, ultimate atonement for sin.

A place of worship
– The most common altar built by people to acknowledge their praise to God was the altar of incense, the holy place where priests would offer worship to the Lord on behalf of the people and themselves.

A place of covenant
– An altar was built where the covenant was made between the Lord and Abraham, and the land was sealed as a timeless promise to Abraham and his offspring (Genesis 15).

A place of intercession – The prophet Joel called for intercession by leaders on behalf of the people and their devastated economy.

Raising up the Altar of Jehovah Dunamis

When God wants to do something on the earth, He always reveals Himself in a way that is prevalent with that which He is about to do. If you look in the Bible, every time God reveals His Name to someone it is when He wants to affect something in the earth. Whether it may be a great deliverance, victory or test.

This leads me to the purpose of this blog. The Lord has revealed to me a "new" name in Jehovah Dunamis - the Lord our power. In these last days the Lord wants to demonstrate His power in all the earth like never before. His victory, power, authority over principalities and powers, over rulers of darkness, over the host of spiritual wickedness in high, heavenly places. The Kingdom of God is not in word only but in power (1 Cor 4:20). Now is come salvation and strength and the Kingdom, the power, the authority of His Christ (Rev 12:10-12 AMP)

Hence we are raising up the Altar of Jehovah Dunamis. We will discuss more on altars and their meaning in future posts.

Take the case of when He revealed Himself to Gideon as Jehovah Shalom. The children of Isreal had sinned and the Lord delivered them into the hand of the Midianites. They were in bondage and impoverished. (Judges 6:1-6) They eventually cried out to the Lord and He sent Gideon to be their deliverer.

Though He was the least in his house and his tribe the least in Isreal, yet the Lord chose him to fulfil His purpose. Showing it is always His prerogative who He chooses to use and in most cases He chooses to use the underdog. David, who turned out to be one of the greatest kings of Isreal is another case in question. Gideon eventually answered this call and built an altar to the Lord calling upon the name of Jehovah Shalom - the Lord is our peace, our prosperity (Judges 6: 22-24).

Back to Jehoval Dunamis...

The word dunamis is the Greek word for power. It is used 120 times in the New Testament and also refers to strength or ability. It is the root word of our English words dynamite, dynamo and dynamic. Christ is called the power of God (1 Cor 1:24). God's miraclous power! Hallelujah!!

Christ has set us free by His vicarious victory on the Cross, overcoming sin, death, the world and Satan but the enemy does not want God's children to live in the reality of that freedom. He does not want us to be totally free and to enjoy the fullness of our salvation.

This blog is to ultimately focus on healing and deliverance, with the view to prayers, to unleash the power of God to deal with issues that are holding the people of God bound. How God anionted Jesus Christ with the Holy Ghost and with POWER [DUNAMIS] and He went about doing good and delivering all those that were oppressed by the devil because God was with Him (Acts 10:38)

But if I am casting out demons by the power of God, then the Kingdom of God has arrived among you.  For when a strong man like Satan is fully armed and guards his palace, his possessions are safe— until someone even stronger attacks and overpowers him, strips him of his weapons, and carries off his belongings.
Luke 11:20‭-‬22 NLT

Are there areas your life where you need the dunamis of God to work and affect changes? Do you need the miraculous power of God to break yokes, lift burdens and destroy every work of the enemy.

Remember that the victory is already yours. He came to set the captive free and preach liberty to them that are bound. (Isa 61:1-3). To say to the prisoners go forth (Isa 49:8-11).

God is calling us to proliferate His victory on the earth by raising up this altar. The altar of Jehovah Dunamis. Are you ready to partner with me and the Lord in exercising our Dominion Mandate? In executing the judgement written? If so, then ensure you visit this blog regularly. You can leave prayer requests for specific areas that you would like us to pray with you about. He sent forth His Word to heal them and deliver them from their destructions (Psalm 107:20) and the power of God, Christ Himself, is present to heal and to deliver (Luke 5:17)!!

How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation ( Heb 2:3). He has provided all things for us that pertains to life and godliness.

For His divine power has bestowed on us [absolutely] everything necessary for [a dynamic spiritual] life and godliness, through true and personal knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.
2PE 1:3 AMP
